Jump Exercise

As part of my participation in the animated cycle at Lucy Tinta, I developed a basic animation exercise focused on applying the fundamental principles of animation, such as squash and stretch, anticipation, timing, and follow-through. The goal was to explore fluidity and character in motion through a simple yet expressive action. Throughout the process, I paid special attention to the rhythm and spacing of each frame to enhance the sense of weight and emotion in the movement. This exercise allowed me to strengthen my understanding of classical animation techniques and refine my workflow for future productions.
Personal Animated Explorations
I’ve been exploring frame-by-frame animation in Procreate Dreams, drawing inspiration from nature and characters that enrich my personal universe. From delicate natural movements to evocative homages to works like Only Lovers Left Alive, these exercises are a creative space where I blend introspection with artistic expression.
Morphs
I created a short animation featuring morph transitions, which helped me grasp the essentials of follow-through and the foundational aspects of morphing. By experimenting with shapes that seamlessly transform into one another, I gained a deeper understanding of maintaining fluidity, weight, and continuity in motion, enhancing my animation skills.
April Witch
Short Animation Inspired by The April Witch
Using After Effects and an illustration crafted in Photoshop, I brought to life a fragment of Ray Bradbury’s The April Witch. The animation captures the ethereal essence of the story, weaving dreamlike transitions and atmospheric details to evoke the wonder and mystery of Bradbury’s narrative.
